i am vj’ing time to time
something pure visual allways was interesting, but what is it?
perfect movie, for me, is the one that you are forgeting instantly when watching it. you dont even know characters, no storry, nothing, just pure vision, carrying no additional information.
just enough to keep you watching few frames ahead.
vj’ing for me has the same criteria.
it should pass you and leave no footprint of something that you could call sense, or.. subject.
only the scheme. that scheme should lead you then, to the pure visual trip.
only then, a difference between realtime vj’ing and pre-cut movie disappears
also to make a vj set that would do an epic movie impression would be nice,
like people walking from the disco crying..
